Hello and welcome to my website!

I'm a Violinist, and Violin teacher in the Bournemouth and Poole area of Dorset. As a performer I regularly play with Orchestras (including the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra), String Quartets and other Chamber ensembles in the South of England. I lead the Alani String Quartet, an exciting young Quartet based in the Bournemouth and Poole area of Dorset. We are available for Recitals, Concerts, Weddings, Parties, Corporate functions and any other event!

I work as a session Violinist for recording projects with my newly formed recording collective, South Coast Session Strings....... we will work in any studio- from home studio to professional studio. I also coach the Violin section of the Bournemouth University Orchestra, and continue to build up a student base which enjoys enthusiastic, motivating lessons that contain the key element for young learners - FUN!

As a school boy in the Bournemouth area I was very much involved in the local music scene, leading the Bournemouth Youth Orchestra, the Dorset Youth Orchestras and the orchestra of "Gli Amici Della Musica" in my last year. (I was the soloist in Mendelssohn's Violin concerto with "Gli Amici Della Musica", in Christchurch Priory). Then followed 4 years at Trinity College of Music in London, achieving a Bmus(TCM) degree with the help of my fantastic teacher, Nona Liddell. After that I spent 4 years touring the world as a stage Violinist with the Canadian based Violin show "Barrage" (See www.Barrage.ca) Countries visited with the show include the USA (over 80 cities), Canada, Taiwan, Singapore, New Zealand, Monaco, Germany, England, Ireland, Scotland, Poland, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Having had enough of extensive touring after four years, I decided to move on to new things, so I lived in New Zealand for 6 months, where I played with several string quartets, and the "Auckland Chamber Orchestra". After all my travels I came back to Dorset, where I have lived again since spring 2005.
